Irish, Classical, Folk

Alison Helzer started playing music at age ten and performed throughout her high school years with the band Tonn Nua. After college she returned home to Eugene, Oregon, where she enjoys busking and gigging around local haunts. She is best known as a high-energy Irish tenor banjo player, but is also accomplished with classical and folk on tenor guitar and octave mandolin.

She has a degree in neuroscience from Dartmouth College, and now works as an accountant at the University of Oregon.

Alison offers beginner-friendly lessons to help fellow and aspiring musicians reach their goals with neuroscience-backed learning techniques.
